The lifeguard course at the Bridgeport YMCA is for individuals 16 years or older who are interested in training to become a certified lifeguard through the Americn Red Cross. Learning is fun and easy, through videos, group discussions and hands-on practice; you'll learn: rescue skills in the water and on land, first aid and professional rescuer CPR/AED training to prepare for an emergency, professional lifeguard responsibilities and surveillance skills to help you recognize and prevent injuries.
